ISEAI Full Membership

Please choose the Full Member category below that best matches your education and training, then fill out the online application. 

Full Members have obtained the education and licensure to provide healthcare services to patients, or are involved in research/education/environmental fields, or have other healthcare education from an approved source. If your credentials or education are not listed below, you are welcome to inquire or apply and your application will be reviewed by a peer. Email membership@iseai.org with any questions.

During the application process, please also upload or email (membership@iseai.org):

  • Active license/certification in the state/territory you practice in
  • CV or professional online profile (please highlight EAI related experience if possible)

Full Member Categories

Full (Standard)

Clinicians (MD, DO, APRN, NP, ACNP, ND*, PA, PA-C) with full prescriptive rights in the state/territory they actively practice in, and Pharmacists (RPh, PharmD), will be eligible to apply for Full (Standard) membership. 

Full (Standard) Members may be invited for Diplomate status once the requirements are met.

*Naturopathic Physicians who have graduated from an AANMC accredited Naturopathic Medical school

Full (Research & Development)

Academic researchers, Professors, and those involved in Commercial R&D will be eligible to apply for Full (Research & Development) membership.

Full (Partner)

Providers eligible to apply for Full (Partner) membership are actively licensed in their territory of practice and have a degree from an accredited academic institution usually at the master’s level or doctoral level in the following areas: 

  • Chiropractors
  • Clinical Nutritionists (typically CNS or CCN credential, exact requirements will vary by state)
  • Dentists/Biologic Dentists
  • Clinical Mental Health Counselors
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Optometrists
  • Physical Therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Registered Dietitians
  • Registered Nurses
  • Social Workers

Full (Allied)

Licensed providers eligible to apply for Full (Allied) membership: 

  • Massage Therapists
  • Acupuncturists
  • Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Herbalists
  • Medical Assistants
  • Others

Full (IEP)

Indoor environmental professionals (IEPs) who perform assessments or remediation of residential and commercial properties and have experience working closely with clinicians treating environmentally acquired illness (EAI) shall be eligible to apply for Full (IEP) membership. Please review the categories below.

IEP Membership – Full

Requirements:

  • Complete ISEAI IEP Interview Form
  • At least 10 years’ verifiable field experience working primarily as a boots-on-the-ground IEP (assessor or remediator).
  • Advanced certifications (ACAC CIEC or CMRS preferred; others may be considered, certifications must include significant field experience, not just courses)
  • Licensure in relevant state (if it exists)
  • Significant experience working with medically-sensitive patients (verifiable)
  • Experience collaborating with multiple EAI clinicians (verifiable)
  • Letter of recommendation from an ISEAI clinician (non-familial)
  • Sample work plan for review
  • Agree and sign IEP Code of Conduct

IEP Membership – Trial

Note: Applicants that do not meet all Full membership requirements above, but can verify at least 3 years of field experience (and meet all other Trial requirements below), can apply for membership under a 1-year Trial period. Eligible to apply for upgrade to Full membership early after 1 year Trial membership – must provide letter of recommendation from an EAI clinician (non-familial) within 3 months of your review. Early upgrade after 1 year is at the discretion of the IEP Committee with oversight by the Membership Committee. Early upgrade to Full membership is not guaranteed.

Requirements:

  • Complete ISEAI IEP Interview Form
  • At least 3 years’ verifiable field experience working primarily as a boots-on-the-ground IEP (assessor or remediator)
  • Advanced certifications (ACAC CIE or CMI or CMR; others may be considered, but certifications should include field experience, not just courses)
  • Licensure in relevant state (if it exists)
  • Experience working with medically-sensitive patients (verifiable)
  • Experience collaborating with multiple EAI clinicians (verifiable)
  • Sample work plan for review
  • Agree and sign IEP Code of Conduct

Student (IEP)

Requirements:

  • In training; will eventually qualify for Full IEP membership based on requirements listed above

Benefits: Student rate for membership dues, access to member Forum, reduced rates for ISEAI events
